Drawing in public

I've drawn in public (on the bus), but this is the first time that I've OPENLY drawn in public. Interesting experience. It clearly made David a bit uncomfortable (note his reference to crocheting in the marginalia). Honestly, no one else seemed to notice or care. Although I'll admit that I did sort of try to stealth draw... I really wanted to draw the pitcher, but I just wasn't quick enough. The EDM members have mentioned watching baseball games on tv for the purpose of drawing - that sounds like a good exercise.

On the bus and desperate to draw... The best alternative was the guy's shoe across the way. I was pretty happy with it until I tried to get into his slouchy socks. That didn't seem to work out very well. As I drew I became really sensitive to the number of times I glanced over at his foot and began to wonder if it was obvious. If it was he was very gracious about the whole thing.
