Drawing in public

I've drawn in public (on the bus), but this is the first time that I've OPENLY drawn in public. Interesting experience. It clearly made David a bit uncomfortable (note his reference to crocheting in the marginalia). Honestly, no one else seemed to notice or care. Although I'll admit that I did sort of try to stealth draw... I really wanted to draw the pitcher, but I just wasn't quick enough. The EDM members have mentioned watching baseball games on tv for the purpose of drawing - that sounds like a good exercise.

Im not an art instructor but have some experience drawing in diferent media. Your graphic response to your observations are very good. I'm also not a critic but... Next time try drawing your subject in order of light tones and shadows working through to darker ones. I realize you're not close to your subject but if you can get a sense of the intensity of shadows within and around the object, you will be able to capture more depth in the finished sketch.

That's great! I was there myself and tried a couple of sketches, tho not as good as yours. Our seats are just down the 3rd baseline and it seams that everyone close is always facing the other direction. That outfielder must have been Soriano.
